Program Modifications For Health
Exercise is encouraged but not required.
Exercise can help improve heart and lung health and it promotes muscle and bone health. Fat is the layer covering the muscle, so with fat loss and toning, you’ll look twice as good! Exercise will not accelerate your weight loss.

Dissolve 1 tsp of honey in 8 oz of hot tea or hot water. Drink this 20-30 mins in advance to put a floor under your blood sugar and leave enough time to urinate prior to exercise. | Bring 1 liter of sports level electrolyte enhanced water. You should feel as good as ever while exercising on program. If you are not feeling right during exercise, please contact your consultant for further guidance.
***IMPORTANT***
During the first 2 weeks of the program (initial detox), you may fatigue more quickly than usual. Listen to your body and end the exercise for that day. Continue your regular regimen on the following day and continue to pay attention to your body’s fatigue level. You will notice the fatigue disappearing as the pancreas and liver adjust to each other on the program.

Lactose Intolerance is a deficiency of the lactase enzyme needed to digest lactose (milk sugar). Those with Lactose Intolerance may be able to digest small amounts of dairy products without assistance, but the symptoms will begin to reveal themselves with higher levels of dairy, such as the levels required while on the Acc(u)Life.
To ensure proper nutrition while on the program, it is CRITICAL to address Lactose Intolerance if you are experiencing symptoms. Please note, symptoms will typically appear on milk days, but may occur on your vegetable days as well. Symptoms include, but are not limited to:
Your options for addressing Lactose Intolerance are as follows:
1. Use lactase enzyme supplements on milk days. The most widely available brand is Lactaid (www.lactaid.com). Lactase enzymes are sold over the counter and are typically located near the antacids. Follow the instructions on the packaging. Should some symptoms continue to appear, you should consider increasing the dosage (for most brands, the standard dosage is to assist digestion of approximately 8 oz of dairy).
2. Switch to lactose free milk. The most widely available brand is Lactaid (www.lactaid.com). Note WHOLE milk is in the RED container.
3. You may use a combination of the above, i.e., use lactose free milk at home and use lactase enzyme supplements with yogurt and/or when you use regular milk outside of the home.
4. Use an alternative milk protocol (ask your consultant for more information)
Please notify your consultant if you continue to experience symptoms of Lactose Intolerance so we may assist in addressing the situation.

If your starting weight is over 280 lbs, you will have a more generous allotment of food to ensure you have enough nutrition to support your current weight. As you achieve certain thresholds, you will begin to reduce your food intake over several weeks to match the change in your nutritional needs.

Many medications cause water retention. This will slow the scale, but not the fat loss. It may take 7 – 10 days after you finish the course of your medication for the water retention to pass. Focus on the change in your body and the inches lost and you will continue to see your success.
If you are on medication which requires you take it with food outside of the normal program eating hours of 12pm – 6pm, do the following:

As long as you do not eat more than the recommended amounts, your body will only recognize the food you’ve eaten as a buffer and it will not compromise the program or slow your weight loss. Eating excess amounts will confuse the chemistry of the program and will slow your weight loss.

To avoid build‐up of mucus.
2. You should drink lots of fluids to keep properly hydrated. Unless instructed by your physician, continue to avoid juice.
3. When you are feeling better, your first two days back on the program should be VEGGIE days. This will allow your body some additional time to heal without dairy potentially increasing the mucous in your system.
4. Then return to the normal cycle of 2 days milk and yogurt, 2 days fruits and vegetables, etc.
If you do not want to take a break from the program, please speak to your consultant about trying one of the non‐dairy alternative milk protocols.
Please note, when ill or on antibiotics the body will have a tendency to retain water. This is temporary and will pass. The protocol for illness will temporarily slow the weight loss, but if you follow the guidelines you will not gain.

If you are on medication for High Blood Pressure (HBP) or have a history of Low Blood Pressure (Low BP), you may experience some symptoms of Low BP during your first two weeks of the program. These symptoms include:
During the first two weeks of the program at all times you should carry with you a small ziplock baggie containing SALT (keep this in your pocket or handbag).
Should you experience the symptoms described:
The salt will normalize your BP within 2 minutes and the symptoms will disappear.
If you are on medication for HBP and this happens once or twice, it is your body adjusting to the program. If you are on medication for HBP and these symptoms occur more than two times in one week, you should contact your physician to discuss adjusting your medication dosage.

If you are on medication for diabetes, for the first two weeks of the program please maintain the blood sugar chart. Download Here
If your blood sugar level falls below 80 or you feel symptoms of low blood sugar such as light‐headedness, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, have a spoonful of honey in a cup of hot tea (or hot water) and the symptoms should pass in 10 – 20 minutes. It is important to have the honey in hot tea or water, so the honey will melt and make the glucose readily available to the body. Please take your blood sugar reading again ½ hour after having the honey.
If your blood sugar level falls below 70 more than once a day, you should contact your physician immediately to discuss adjusting your medication dosages.
If you would like Acc(u)Life to help guide you as to when to contact your physician, please submit your blood sugar chart to your consultant on a daily basis via email and/or fax.

If you have had your gallbladder surgically removed, you should take the following supplements to help you digest fats. These supplements may be obtained at any health food store:

If you have Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), for the first two weeks of the program, on your fruit and vegetable days you should have only cooked vegetables. Raw vegetables are too fibrous for your digestive system at this time and will aggravate your condition.
We strongly recommend you take psyllium husk daily to aid the normal digestive process and to hydrate the digestive system. Psyllium husk should be taken in capsule form – 3000mg – 4000mg 1x day with at least 12 oz of water.
After two weeks, if you would like to slowly introduce raw vegetables into your diet, e.g., a salad, do so slowly and cautiously. If you show signs of indigestion, your body is not yet ready to digest the raw vegetables. If you show no signs or symptoms, your body is starting to adapt and you may begin to incorporate raw vegetables as part of your fruit and vegetable day menus.

Hair loss occasionally occurs with extreme weight loss of any kind and is typically caused by a mineral deficiency. If you are experiencing hair loss, you may take the following supplements:

Acc(u)Beads – You will use Acc(u)Beads whenever you want to do a cleanse or “Tune Up Week”, usually every 10-12 weeks. We recommend you do a cleanse at least twice each year.
Chi Gong Breathing – The benefits of Chi Gong are cumulative, so we recommend you continue doing 4 breaths at minimum 2x per day. You may utilize this throughout your day, whenever you are feeling stress and as a tool to manage cravings.
Balance Nutrition – You are now enjoying your personal Acc(u)Lifestyle! When you do a cleanse or “Tune Up Week”, for that week, you’ll follow the Phase 1 Food Plan.

Moving to Phase 1: If you would like to lose more weight or cleanse for more than 2 weeks, you may return to Phase 1 at any time.
A simple and seamless transition, designed to build a personalized eating lifestyle including your favorite foods. During Phase 1 you lost fat and detoxified. Whether at your weight loss goal or just taking a break, in Phase 2 you will reset your weight set point so you have a strong foundation for long-term maintenance. This is when you are creating the personal Acc(u)Lifestyle you love.
Acc(u)Beads – You will use Acc(u)Beads the first week of Phase 2. If you move to Phase 2 in the middle of a current Acc(u)Bead placement, continue using that Acc(u)Point and calculate one last Acc(u)Point.
Chi Gong Breathing – We recommend you do 4 breaths at minimum 2x per day: when you wake up, before you go to sleep. You may utilize this throughout your day, whenever you are feeling stress and as a tool to manage cravings.
Balance Nutrition – During the next 4-8 weeks, together we will design your personal Acc(u)Lifestyle while we stabilize your weight, identify food sensitivities and work on eating habits.
Moving to Phase 3: When you’ve stabilized your weight and have introduced all foods into your Acc(u)Lifestyle you are ready for Phase 3.
Moving to Phase 1: If you would like to lose more weight or have a quick detox, you may return to Phase 1 at any time.
